This is the latest recording in Mitsuko Uchida’s much-acclaimed Schubert Sonata series. As with previous recordings, it took place in the Great Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna, a “spiritual” home of Schubert. Uchida prefers this venue to any other as she feels that it is the most beautiful concert hall in the world, has an inspiring acoustic and is so closely related to Schubert.
