Nicki Minaj has been compared, whether right or wrong, to Lady Gaga. Many have labeled her the “black Lady Gaga.” This comparison is mostly forged in the fact that both ladies go to great lengths to show expression and creativity in all they do, both on and off stage. However, the stage is where the magic happens.

Theatrics is probably the best way to describe the stage show of Nicki Minaj. You never know quite what to expect from the diva who gave Drake a lap dance on stage. The costumes are nothing but over the top and spectacular all in one. The music, pure Nicki style. Her albums Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded have spawned hit after hit. “Your Love,” “Fly,” “Super Bass,” “Starships,” “Pound the Alarm” and “Right by My Side” are some of the songs fans might expect to hear at one of Nicki’s smoking hot shows.

Nicki has toured with Britney Spears and Lil Wayne. She has also headlined two tours of her own featuring 2 Chainz (United States), Tyga (Europe and Australia) and Misha B (United Kingdom). While she has not toured with Lady Gaga, it might be a well received tour with huge ticket sales. The information party rocks on: Nicki Minaj Titties for Elle Magazine of the Day

You’ve got a lot on your mind: you’re in charge of picking up the kids from school, you’re probably late for your doctor’s appointment and you’ve still got to electricity companies texas to look at when you get home since you are trying to save some money on your energy bill. But why not take a break for some soothing music? Studies have shown listening to music a few minutes a day with no distractions is good for stress levelshere are a few of our suggestions for the most relaxing musical interlude: Choose Wisely: Pick your genre based on what calms youfor most people that’s instrumental or light, easy listening. If it’s hard rock, by all means, get that out, but don’t choose a band that gets you all revved up – the mission is relaxation. Get a Space: Listen in a place you know you won’t be bothered. Put your cell phone on silent and close the door to your room. Even invest in an eye mask, too, and don’t worry if you fall asleepjust set an alarm. Buy Some Headphones: Noise cancelling headphones provide the cleanest experience but you can use earbuds, too. Just turn the volume down a little lower than normal for a relaxing time.

Paul McCartney’s new album “Kisses on the Bottom” (released February 7) truly accentuates his versatility as a songwriter and a musician. From the very first track, “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter” (a Fats Waller cover) we are exposed to McCartney’s willingness to push the boundaries of his musical prowess. The track has a slow jazz song a style, which we are not used to hearing from McCartney, though his swooning voice lends well to the song’ s mood. In fact McCartney does well to keep the entire album very tender and jazzy, creating a perfect style for the album’s Valentine’s release.
On the more up beat and danceable, “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive” McCartney strays from his usual melodic tones in favor of a more rhythmic vocal style reminding the listener of Billy Joel. The heartfelt track “My Valentine” has remnants of an early Beatles love song though McCartney again tweaks his vocals, taking on a deeper tone to compliment the lovely symphonics of the lead guitar.
Rounding out the album with the track “The Inch Worm,” McCartney showcases his versatility as a songwriter and lyricist drawing unique comparisons between an inchworm’s steady movements and the feelings of love.

Simone Dinnerstein’s 2007 recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations challenged us to see Bach in a different way. It was a sort of question. How much room is there for emotion in Baroque music? Bach’s music has always been moving, but Dinnerstein plays him so expressively, soulfully, almost Romantically. Still, Dinnerstein’s expressive playing does not disguise the symmetry of Bach’s music. It is still the same music with all its mathematical precision and beauty. It is this dichotomy perhaps, that has made Dinnerstein so appealing to such a broad audience. She accentuates the changes, the deviations in Bach’s patterns making the emotion behind them that much more powerful. In a time after Schumann, Joplin, Coltrane, and Kesha, maybe we need some help hearing the feelings that were obvious to Bach when he transcribed them to music. Even playing Bach’s aria on a piano opens musical doors that even he could only imagine.
It was a bold move to choose the challenging Goldberg Variations for her debut, but Dinnerstein says she wanted an complex piece to explore while she was pregnant. Dinnerstein was able, it seems, to use the momentous changes in her own life to infuse Bach’s music with fresh perspective.

The 2012 Grammy Awards had an undercurrent of drama going on with the untimely loss of Whitney Houston. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band was tasked with delivering the first salvo of the night and they didn’t disappoint. The Boss launched into his new single from his upcoming album entitled “We Take Care Of Our Own”, a fitting title for the somber mood of the evening. The fact that the band is also undertaking its’ first tour without longtime saxophonist Clarence Clemons was not lost in the delivery of this performance.

Clemons passed away last year after battling health problems for years, the band also lost longtime member Danny Federici in 2008. The band has kept the Clemons essence alive by bringing in Clarence’s nephew Jake Clemons on saxophone for their upcoming tour. The tour will mark the first time that the full E Street contingent will be playing behind Springsteen since 2009. Springsteen is supporting his new album “Wrecking Ball” which is being released on March 6th by his longtime label Columbia/Sony. After 2010′s reflective “The Promise” which showcased many of Bruce’s outtakes, “Wrecking Ball” is geared up to conjure up the anger of all of the collective losses that have befallen the band.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse are slated to make a live return to the road following the band’s February 10th performance at Sir Paul McCartney’s MusiCares person of the year dinner.

The band played an overdriven and grungy version of McCartney’s “I Saw Her Standing There,” following Young’s confirmation of two new studio albums from Neil Young and Crazy Horse. In addition the band also released an epic 38 minute jam featuring the classic song “Cortez the Killer” in late January.

Young revealed that material for the first studio album, said to be called “Americana,” has already been recorded.

The critically acclaimed band formed in 1968 following the break up of Young’s previous band Buffalo Springfield. “Everybody Knows This is Nowhere,” the bands first studio album released in 1969, features some of Young’s more popular songs including “Down by the River,” “Cowgirl in the Sand,” and “Cinnamon Girl.”

Crazy Horse, made up by Danny Whitten on drums, Billy Talbot on bass, and Danny Whitten on guitar, hasn’t performed with Neil Young since 2003. Although the long awaited Buffalo Springfield tour from 2011 never developed, fans have been waiting anxiously for possible tour news.
