RECORDING INFORMATION
These three CDs make up the complete Beethoven piano concerti in a cycle with Kurt Sanderling that has received rave reviews. To celebrate the completion of the cycle, they are presented together in a specially designed slipcase.

Mitsuko records exclusively for Philips and has won world renown for her fresh and inspirational interpretations of a wide repertoire. She has recorded all of Mozart's piano sonatas and piano concerti and the sonatas also form part of the now legendary Mozart Edition. She has also had one volume of the Great Pianists of the 20th Century dedicated to her. The Great Pianists' edition won the recent, highly coveted award of Gramophone Special Achievement 1999 and is the world's largest collection of recorded music with 200 CDs.

PRESS QUOTES
Concerti 1 & 2
"... what Mitsuko Uchida does is provide just about as rapt, retiring and beguilingly sostenuto an account of the solo parts you are ever likely to hear ... the solo piano playing is ravishing ..."
Gramophone

Concerti 3 & 4
"There seems to be a unanimity of view from first note to last ... few performances come closer to hers in the sheer nobility and grandeur of this music ..."
