Julian Lloyd Webber, one of
the world’s most popular cellists, has recorded this selection of
romantic and beautiful mood music for cello and orchestra including world-famous
tunes, such as Bruch’s Kol nidrei, Bach’s “Air on
a G string,” Massenet’s Méditation, and Elgar’s
Salut d’amour.
As a special feature, Julian has included his own piece Jackie’s Song, which he wrote in tribute to the legendary Jacqueline du Pré. This track is particularly significant in view of the film Hillary and Jackie, based on the controversial biography of Jacqueline du Pré.
