RECORDING INFORMATION
In his early years, Magaloff spent his time as a pianist accompanying his father-in-law, the Hungarian violinist, Josef Szigeti, and it was only after World War II that his solo career took off, particularly as a result of his performances of the complete piano works of Chopin in concert halls around Europe.

Magaloff recorded Chopin's complete piano music in the late 1970s for Philips Classics and a selection of these recordings are included in this compilation, including some of Chopin's rarer pieces such as his Bolero, Tarentelle and Sonata No. 1 in C minor, Op.4.

Over 154 minutes of music in all on two CDs for the price of one.
