MERCURY LIVING PRESENCE

- In 1951, when "Pictures at an Exhibition" was released, Howard Taubman of the "New York Times" wrote that hearing the recording was like "being in the living presence of the orchestra."
In those days the words "high fidelity" were scarcely understood. "Pictures" made their meaning crystal clear and unforgettable. Records had not sounded like this before - Mercury Living Presence was born.
